Actor/comedian to perform at upcoming dinner theatre show

Philadelphia Plowden, stand-up comedian/actor, will be performing on Oct. 12 at the Pine Bluff Country Club as part of Old Town Theatres Centre’s dinner show.

Dinner starts at 6 p.m., and the show will begin 7:30.

Featured on NBC’s, “America’s Got Talent,” Plowden is one of the funniest actor/comedians working today. His observations and revelations about the human condition, mixed with stories from his life, take his audience on hilarious fun-filled rides that could stop at any point along the journey. He puts it all on the line with his great impromptu style and talent. His ability to relate to people from different walks of life has made him a favorite in the cruise ship industry, comedy clubs and corporate events.

Plowden has opened for stars, such as the late Robert Palmer, Richard Jeni and Julio Iglescias on the west coast leg of his world tour. Stories about his mother, kids and marriage have made him a favorite wherever he plays.

OTTC, a not-for-profit organization, sponsors monthly nationally acclaimed dinner theatre shows. The atmosphere is inviting, friendly and welcoming, according to an event spokesman. Moderate pricing for dinner and show is $45 per person, which includes the gratuities. The shows are geared for adults and older teenagers. The dress code at the club is conservative when in doubt.
