Christina Whitson and Bryan Cash to wed in Springdale

Whitson-Cash FAYETTEVILLE — Christina Michelle Whitson and Bryan Thomas Cash, both of Fayetteville, Ark., are engaged to be married at Magnolia Gardens at Springdale, Ark., on Oct. 27, 2012. Christina is the daughter of Mike and Susan Whitson of Mablevale, Ark. She is a 1997 honor graduate of Little Rock Central High School. Christina is also a 2006 graduate of UALR with a bachelor's degree in professional technical writing and German studies. She has done additional study in Austria and Poland. Bryan is the son of Tommy and Beth Cash of White Hall, Ark., and the grandson of the late Gene and Oralyn Cash of Rison, Ark., and the late Robert and Helen Lindsey of Pine Bluff, Ark. He graduated from White Hall High School in 2002 and is a 2007 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a bachelor's degree in food science. He is a food scientist in Springdale, Ark. A reception is to follow at Magnolia Gardens.

Rachel Shipman and Adam Brown announce October wedding

Shipman-Brown Mr. Daniel Shipman of Yellville, Ark., and Ms. Merri Hulgan of Interlochen, Mich., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Rachel Danielle Shipman, to Adam Felix Brown, son of Marvin and Brenda Brown of White Hall. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dwight and Ora Mae Shipman of Yellville, Ark., Helen Hulgan and the late George Hulgan of Gardner, Kan. She is a 2012 graduate of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Ark., with a bachelor of arts in rehabilitation science. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in social work at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She is a mental health paraprofessional in Pine Bluff. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Emma Welch and the late Morley Welch of England, Ark., and the late Felix and Mary Ella Brown of Pine Bluff. He is a 2007 graduate of White Hall High School and will graduate in December from the Jefferson Regional Medical Center School of Nursing. An afternoon wedding is planned for 1 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Gaston's White River Resort in Lake View, Ark. The ceremony will be officiated by Bro. Paul Williams, pastor of First Baptist Church of White Hall. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
