Harden-Johnson: WHITE HALL — Ashley Charlene Harden and Albert Russell Johnson Jr., both of White Hall, Ark., are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
Ashley is the daughter of Tamara and Ted Harden of White Hall and the granddaughter of Patsy and Cecil Smith of Pine Bluff and Troy Harden and the late Charlene Harden of Pine Bluff. She is a 2010 honor graduate of White Hall High School and recently graduated cum laude from Arkansas Tech University in December 2013, where she earned a bachelor of arts in Spanish as well as an endorsement in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). She is currently employed in the White Hall School District where she will begin teaching Spanish and coaching dance in the fall.
Russell is the son of Debra and Rusty Johnson of White Hall and the grandson of the late A.M. “Abb” Johnson and the late Nedra Johnson Helvey of Pine Bluff and the late Mr. and Mrs. A.J. “Mike” Michalek of Pine Bluff. Russell is a 2008 graduate of White Hall High School and graduated from Arkansas Tech University in May 2013. At ATU, he obtained a bachelor of arts in social studies as well as a coaching endorsement. He is currently employed in the Barton-Lexa School District where he teaches social studies and health/P.E. and coaches football, basketball and baseball. He will begin teaching social studies in the Watson Chapel School District in the fall.
Ashley and Russell will be married at Bethany Baptist Church of White Hall on June 7, 2014, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Bro. Ben Hulsey will officiate the double-ring ceremony. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church. Friends and family are invited to attend.
