In our family we never agree on anything, which is a good thing; it makes life rich and diverse. However, today we break from that tradition. Today, I am allowed to speak for us all, in one voice. Today we recognize your 50 loving years of marriage. We say loving because we, “your seed,” have shared in that love.

Arlie and Barbara Langrell to celebrate 50th anniversary

Langrell Arlie and Barbara Langrell will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception, hosted by their nephews and nieces, Ed and Lori Jones, and Marty and Sherry Staton, on Sept. 22 at Central Baptist Church EAB, 6107 Dollarway Road, from 2-4 p.m. The couple was married Sept. 21, 1962, at the home of Charles and Virginia Poore by Clyde Cutrell. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate. The couple requests no gifts please.

Creed and Irma Nix celebrate 60th wedding anniversary

Nix Mr. and Mrs. Creed C. Nix Jr. of Watson Chapel celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family recently at their home, hosted by daughters, Carol Moore of Pine Bluff and Cheryl Layson of Little Rock. They are also the parents of another daughter, the late Sheila Smith. Mr. Nix married the former Irma Jean Vanlandingham of Sheridan Aug. 17, 1952. Mr. Nix worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal, retiring from International Paper Co. Mrs. Nix is a homemaker. They are the grandparents of eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Lee Andrew and Lueretha Mixon celebrate 50 years of marriage

Mixon Lee Andrew and Lueretha Mixon of Pine Bluff were married Aug. 9, 1962. They will celebrate 50 years of love Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at 4 p.m., at First Trinity Church of God in Christ, hosted by their children, Terry J. Rowden, Katherine Candler, Deborah Thomas, Shirley Higgins and Karen Rodgers. Lueretha Tinsley Mixon retired from Trinity Village Retirement Home after 33 years of service. Lee Andrew Mixon Jr. retired after over 40 years of truck driving. Friends and family are invited. No gifts requested.

Donnie and Beverly Crossett celebrate 60 years of marriage

Crossett Donnie and Beverly Crossett will celebrate their 60th anniversary Aug. 2. They were married at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. They are the parents of Jane Crossett Bruns, the late Scott Crossett and the late Harry Crossett. There will be an open house Saturday, Aug. 4 at the Crossett home on Lowman Road. This will be hosted by Jane and her husband, Jeff Bruns, and their grandchildren, Scott, Kathryn and Robert Bruns, Rebecca Stubblefield, Sarah and Elizabeth Crossett. Friends and family are invited to drop by from 2-4 p.m. No gifts please.

Edwin and Mary Doggett celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Doggett WHITE HALL — Edwin and Mary Doggett of White Hall celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married July 14, 1962, at Hermitage Methodist Church. She is the former Mary Brooks and is a retired teacher. Ed is retired from Tom Fitts Inc. They are the parents of David Doggett of White Hall, John Doggett of Benton, and Doug Doggett of Jonesboro. The couple have seven grandchildren.
